Fraternity - The way to World's Peace

In the 47th World Day of Peace, the Theme chosen by our Pope Francis was, "Fraternity, the foundation and pathway to peace”, and he wanted this to be the focus of its celebration.

How is harmony scattered?

I would say, it's HOME where peace starts fist gets damaged. During childhood the parents take intense care of their children. They want their child to the best among everything and they are even ready to give their child the best things they could ever give. Through out infancy, the kid's world is its parents. When it crosses this stage its attention gets diverted towards its friends and a small gap starts growing between his/her and the parents. When they attain the adolescence stage, where beauty, money and strength  becomes their primary attention. Now their parents will become old and incompetent before their perception.

On the other hand, through our childhood their siblings were their one and sole clique solace. Once they grow up they start inculcating jealousy, ego, self-pride and selfishness. This on a long run makes the gap between more wider and wider and ends up in delusions, liquidation of family businesses, separation of family properties. When seen at a higher phase, causes scrimmages and even blood for blood situations.

So now tell me, where do we sow the seeds for alienation? Yes it is at our home, within our kinship. At many instances we even see old parents live as if the whole blue sky as their roofs. It has become a normal erudition of sending old parents to the old-aged homes as orphans. At times they are even shut in dark & unclean attics. There are given worn our food and clothes. People never visualize that the same treatment may get retreated to them from their own children.

Please note that none of the doctrines support ill-treatments of parents by their children. Rather they manifest the inflictions for those who ill treat their parents. It's clearly said, "Do we not all have one father? Has not one God created us? Why do we deal treacherously each against his brother so as to profane the covenant of our fathers?" - Malachi 2:10.

Without Fraternity, nothing in this universe can stay stable. There is a real need to combat the 'throwaway culture' and instead has promoted a 'culture of confrontation', in order to build a more just and peaceful world.

“Fraternity is a dowry that every man and every woman brings with himself or herself as a human being, as a child of the one Father,” the communique states. “In the face of the many tragedies that afflict the family of nations - poverty, hunger, underdevelopment, conflicts, migrations, pollution, inequalities, injustice, organized crime, fundamentalism - fraternity is the foundation and the pathway to peace.”

ஆம்! "இளைஞனே, ஒரு நிமிடம்!" என்ற தலைப்பில் மலங்கரை விளக்கு பதிப்பு OCT 2013 இல் அருட் தந்தை Fr. ஆன்டனி அவர்கள் குறிப்பாக இளைஞர்களுக்காக பகிர்ந்து கொண்ட கருத்துகள் என்னை வெகுவாக கவர்ந்தது. என்னை மட்டும் அல்லாமல் மேலும் பல இளைஞர்களையும் கவர்ந்திருக்கும், உள்மன உந்துதலை ஏற்படுத்தி இருக்கும், என்னாலும் உயர முடியும் என்ற வைராக்கியத்தை ஆணித்தரமாக சுட்டியிருக்கும் என நம்புகிறேன். 

அன்னார் அவர்கள் ஒரு கப்பலை உவமையாக காட்டி விளக்கிய கருத்துகள் ஆழ்ந்த உண்மைகளை கொண்டுள்ளன. ஒரு கப்பல் எப்படி பல இன்னல்களை தாண்டி கடலில் செல்கிறதோ அதே போன்று இளைஞர்களாகிய நாமும் வாழ்க்கை துயரங்கள், கேவலங்கள், கொடுந் தடைகள் ஆகியவற்றை வெறும் முயற்சி மட்டும் இல்லாமல் விடா முயற்சியோடு எதிர்கொண்டு வெற்றி இலக்கை எட்டவேண்டும். மேலும் அவர்கள் கருத்தின் படி, "நம் நண்பர்கள் நம்மை செதுக்குவதை விட நம் பகைவர்கள் நம்மை செதுக்குகிறார்கள்." என்பது மிகவும் சரி, நமக்கு சாதகமானவை நமக்கு கற்பிற்பவைகளை விட பாதகமானவைகளே அதிகம் கற்பிற்கின்றன. மேலும் நாம் அவற்றால் இழந்தவைகளை நினைவூட்டி நம்மை சிந்திக்க வழி வகை செய்கின்றன. இளைஞர்களாகிய நாம் எந்த ஒன்றை சார்ந்து வாழும் ஒருவராக இருக்க கூடாது. சாதகமற்ற சூழல்களையும் வாய்ப்புகளாக மாற்றி அமைத்து கொள்ளவேண்டும்.

இப்படி தான் தாமஸ் அல்வா எடிசன் அவர்கள் பல நூறு முறைகள், பல உலோகங்களை பயன்படுத்தியும் மின்விளக்கின் உதிரியான டங்ஸ்டனை கண்டு பிடிக்க முடியவில்லை. இதை கண்ட அவர் உதவியாளர்க்கு இத்தனை நூறு முறை முயன்றும் முயற்சி அனைத்தும் வீணாகி விட்டதே என்று வருந்தினார். கடைசியில் எடிசன் டங்ஸ்டனை கண்டு பிடித்த பிறகு கூறினார், "நான் இத்தனை நூறு முறைகள் முயன்றது வீணாகவில்லை மாறாக என்னால் இத்தனை நூறு உலோகங்கள் டங்ஸ்டன் உருவாக்க பயன்பட மாட்டாது என்பதை கண்டறியவைத்து விட்டது," என்றார். 

இளைஞனே, சுலபமான வழிகளை பின்பற்றி அடையும் வெற்றியானது நிரந்தரமானதல்ல, விடமுயற்சியுடன் இறுதிவரை போராடி அடையும் வெற்றியே உன்னதமானதும் சாதித்து விட்டோம் என்ற மன நிறைவை கொடுக்கும் ஒன்றாகவும் அமையும்.

St. Paul's Educational Academy - Inaugural Ceremony at Kanyakumari (18.09.2013)

A unit for our St. Paul's Educational Academy has got inaugurated at the Animation Center, Kanyakumari on September 18th, 2013 at 5:00 PM IST . The ritual was admired and consecrated by our Most Excellency Bishop Rev. Fr. Vincent Mar Paulose. He blessed the premises with his divine consents and exalts. The hailed chief guests on this occasion were Mr. Alex & Mr. Jojo from Pune and the Director of the academy Rev. Fr. Antony. Also the event was made vivid by the presence of the academy's Coordinators  Mr. Rajendra Babu & Mr. Angel Felix. The observance was also engaged with the presence of the Nagercoil District MCYM Director Rev. Fr. Alex & the District's Muthanmai Guru Rev. Fr. Peter Ananth. In adding up more reverence to this occasion, there were lot many more fathers and sisters from the district as well as from the diocese. The tangible support by the district and diocesan MCYM members has even made this event to be a persuadable occurrence.

அலகு தலைவர்கள் கூட்டம் - நாகர்கோவில் மறைவட்டம் - 22.09.2013

வருகின்ற அக்டோபர் மாதம் 2ஆம் தியதி அன்று கொண்டாடப்பட இருக்கின்ற நாகர்கோவில் மறைவட்ட MCYM தினம் குறித்து அனைத்து அலகுகளின் MCYM தலைவர்கள் மத்தியில் ஒரு சிறு ஆலோசனை கூட்டம் நடத்த முடிவு செய்யப்பட்டுள்ளது. இக்கூட்டமானது வருகின்ற 22.09.2013 ஞாயிற்றுக்கிழமை அன்று மேலத்தெக்ருகரை (கிறிஸ்துவிளாகம்) பங்கில் வைத்து நாகர்கோவில் மறைவட்ட MCYM இயக்குனர் அருட்திரு தந்தை. அலெக்ஸ் அன்னாரின் தலைமையில் சரியாக பிற்பகல் 3 மணி அளவில் நடைபெறும்.

அலகு சந்திப்பு - 15.09.2013 (மத்தியாஸ் நகர் & முக்கடல்)

அன்றய தினம் இனிதே தொடங்கியது.  மத்தியாஸ் நகர் மற்றும் முக்கடல் ஆகிய அலகுகளை  சந்திக்க திட்டமிடப்பட்டிருந்தது. அதன் படி மறைவட்ட MCYM குழுவிலிருந்து திரு. ஜாண் ரோஜர், திரு. டென்சின் ராஜ், திரு. மனோகர் மற்றும் திரு. அன்டோ ரூபன் ஆகியோர் முதலாவதாக மத்தியாஸ் நகர் சென்றடைந்தோம். அங்கே சற்று நேரம் MCYM மற்றும் MCYM தினம் குறித்து கலந்துரையாடினோம். பின்னர் அலகு அளவிலான கீழ்க்கண்ட பொறுப்பாளர்களை தேர்வு செய்தோம்:

செயலர்: திருமதி. ப்ரியாமணிகண்டன்

இதனை தொடர்ந்து முக்கடல் நோக்கி பயணித்தோம். அங்கும் MCYM குறித்த கருத்துக்களை பகிர்ந்து கொண்டோம். பின்னர் அலகு பொறுப்பாளர்களை தேர்வு செய்வது குறித்து ஆலோசித்தோம். அதன் அடிப்படையில் கீழ்க்கண்ட பொறுப்பாளர்களை தேர்வு செய்தோம்:

MCYM தினம் - 2013 "இளைஞர் அலைகள்"

2013 ஆம் ஆண்டிற்கான MCYM தினம் வருகிற அக்டோபர் மாதம் 2ஆம் தியதி நடைபெற நாகர்கோவில் MCYM குழுவினரால் முடிவெடுக்க பட்டுள்ளது. இந்நிகழ்ச்சியானது நாவல்காடு பங்கில் வைத்து நடைபெறும். இந்நிகழ்ச்சியில் எண்ணற்ற நிகழ்வுகள் மற்றும் கலாச்சார நிகழ்ச்சிகள் MCYM குழுவினரால் நடத்தபெற உள்ளன. அனைத்து நிகழ்வுகளும் MCYM குழு உறுப்பினர்களால் ஒருங்கிணைகப்பெற்று நாகர்கோவில் மறைவட்ட MCYM இயக்குனர் அருட்திரு தந்தை. அலெக்ஸ் மற்றும் அருட்சகோதரி அனிமேட்டர். செலின் மேரி அவர்களின் வழிகாட்டுதலின் பெயரில் நடைபெறும். இந்த ஆண்டிற்கான MCYM தின நிகழ்வு மிகவும் எதிர்பார்க்கப்பட்ட திட்டம் ஒன்றாக இருக்க போகிறது என்று அனைவராலும் எதிர் பார்க்கப்படுகிறது. 

Youth Guidance Program - August 9th 2013

The very first MCYM program of the year 2013 was the Youth Guidance Program conducted at the Melatherukarai (Christhuvizhgam) Parish on August 9th 2013. The program was solely focused on today's youth's problems and the barriers towards their success. There were special classes conducted by professional councilors on the same. Special thanks to Prof. Immaculate Philip who has showered a wonderful session on today's problems faced by youths and on how to overcome and face those bravely and courageously through our Savior Almighty Jesus Christ. The session was conducted with regular intervals in order to turn off weariness. Followed by the first half of the session, there was a yummy lunch served for all the participants. The most enlivening aspect of this program was the youth's voluntary participation and their chart displays portraying the youth's problems, ways to overcome those barriers, benefits of blood donation, etc. And to motivate and promote "Blood Donation", there was a great talk delivered by our District Muthanmai Guru, Rev. Father. Peter Anand. It was really helpful in over coming the bad impressions on blood donation. Diocesan District MCYM Director, Rev. Father. Antony's presence in the avenue was also a colorful flash to the program's success. Overall again, this program was successfully achieved in the guidance of our Nagercoil District MCYM Director, Rev. Father. Alex's and Sister Animator. Selin Mary's guidance along with the coordinated efforts of the District Board members and the youths. Special thanks to all those who have made this event a successful one.

MCYM Day - 2013 "Youth Waves"

It's been planned to conduct a grand program on account of the MCYM Day - 2013 (Nagercoil District) on Oct 2nd 2013 at the Navalcad Parish. In this program there would be lot more events and cultural activities coordinated and excreted by the board members and the MCYM youths in the guidance of the Nagercoil District  MCYM Coordinator Rev. Father. Alex and the Sister Animator. Selin Mary. This is going to be one of the most awaited program of the year 2013. Bingo...
